"Console Wars"
In the gaming industry, a console war describes the competition between two or more console fanboys trying to prove that the console they're supporting is superior to the competition. While there have been numerous console wars in the past, the term gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s when Sega sought to break into the US video game industry with its Sega Genesis platform. Sega was able to obtain a majority of the market within three years after its release, which had previously been dominated by Nintendo, thanks to a creative marketing strategy and superior technology.
Exclusive Games
Some gaming consoles offer exclusive games which only run on a dedicated console, these games are really popular and one of the main reasons console wars exist. Sony offers games like Spiderman, Uncharted, and Horizon Zero Dawn, while Nintendo offers all the Mario games, the Zelda series, and the Pokémon game. Xbox on the other hand offers the halo series, gears of war, and the Forza series.
Battle Of The Gamers
Fans of video games have fought over the brilliance of their favorite platforms for decades. Many of these furious "Console Wars" have raged from the days of Atari through the rise and collapse of Sega. However, some gamers don't like the ongoing war so they try to end the war by saying that all consoles are good and that's a brilliant way of thinking.
It's Our Choice In the End
In the end, the choice is ours and we can choose what console is best for us. Which side do you guys support? Although we support different consoles deep down we all know that the main thing we support is gaming.
